They say dogs are man’s best friend, but how about a young woman’s best friend and life-changing service dog? Sundance Vacations is proud to support Canine Partners for Life (CPL) by sponsoring a dog for a young lady named Emily in York, PA.
The story began when one of Sundance Vacations’ clients, Faye, came in with her service dog Dreyfus and purchased a vacation. Sundance Vacations was impressed with her pooch’s ability to alert Shank of her seizures 47 minutes before they happen and operate a K9 911 phone call for emergency help.
“We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and support organizations that help change people’s lives,” said Tina Dowd, Co-founder of Sundance Vacations.
Thus, the relationship between CPL and Sundance Vacations began!
Now, years after, the Dowds sponsored a dog named Sundance II, or Sunny for short, for a young lady named Emily.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate, friend, and family member. I’m so grateful (for Sunny), we both look out for each other too. She inspires me every day to do my best – not only for myself, but for her too,” said Emily. “She motivates me every day to be the best me I can be.”
Sunny stays true to her name: being a bright and supporting light in Emily’s life.
