Cody attends high school in Chester County, PA. He uses  a power wheelchair to get around. Cody loves animals and spending time outdoors. However he has very limited use of his hands and arms which is where Claire comes in. Claire, is a female black Labrador that was donated by her breeder to CPL and raised in CPL prison puppy raising program. Small in stature, but big in heart, Claire will assist Cody by opening doors, retrieving and helping him dress. Since they began working together a few weeks ago, Cody has learned that Claire is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. He has had to learn how to be firm with her and how to communicate effectively. Claire in turn has had to learn how to maneuver around speed demon Cody as he whips around the CPL campus in his chair.
