Canine Partners for Life is continuously monitoring the spread of COVID-19. We are following guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Chester County Health Department. CPL’s operations are continuing, however, we have taken precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep our staff, volunteers, and graduates safe.

  • CPL will be closed for two weeks starting today, Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 29. During this time, our staff will be working from home. If you need to reach a staff member, email is currently the best form of communication.
  • All of our dogs in training, including the dogs currently living in our kennel, are in volunteer homes for at least the next two weeks. Our dogs will be happy and relaxed in the care of our volunteers. Thank you to everyone who opened up their home to one of our dogs.
  • We have suspended volunteer activity on campus until further notice. We are also not accepting new volunteer applications at this time.
  • We made the difficult decision to cancel our Spring Team Training and Graduation ceremony. Our Spring teams will instead be participating with their selected canine partners in our Summer class. For those of you who have already supported our teams with the donation of Giggygrams, your donations are being reserved and will be given to them at our Summer Graduation ceremony.

Please be assured, CPL’s operations are ongoing and the important work of supporting our current graduates and the training of the puppies and dogs is continuing. We encourage you to follow CPL on social media to stay informed of updates and see how our puppies and dogs are spending these few weeks off!

We truly appreciate your continued support during this challenging time.

Sincerely,
Janie Cramer
Executive Director
