Program Assistant/Whelping Coordinator

CPL is seeking an organized, self-motivated and energetic individual to join our Program Team. We are looking for a positive team player with demonstrated prior experience with basic dog training and has willingness to learn others skills such as working with CPL’s released dog program and caring for puppies from birth to 8 weeks of age.

The Program Assistant’s role is to assist the program department by working with other staff and volunteers, working with CPL’s released dog program, keeping records up to date in the dog database, and caring for puppies.

Experience and knowledge working with puppies is essential. Candidates should have the ability to work with dogs up to 100 pounds. Candidates should have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, including database management. A flexible schedule is necessary as responsibilities include some weekend and evening hours.
