Ed and Arnie
It is difficult to know where to start when writing about this partnership – there is just no way to describe the dedication, motivation and comic relief that they share in an incredibly contagious way. This team always kept us laughing, smiling and working.
As a veteran having served in three different branches of the armed forces, Ed was working at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. As a result of his tireless efforts on that day and the subsequent six weeks, Ed has suffered a myriad of injuries, including reactive airway disease, mobility, and balance issues. Within days of meeting Arnie, Ed’s cane was obsolete, and Arnie was helping to reduce Ed’s fatigue by helping him to conserve energy. While Ed has a gift for inspiring others, Arnie quickly gave him the additional gifts of confidence, security, and independence.
Ed and Arnie are now home in New Jersey with their beautiful family; Ed’s wife, son, and newborn baby girl. He and Arnie continue his work with the Wounded Warrior Project, spreading the word in support of our troops and the need to help them reintegrate back into their home lives. We would like to thank Ed for ALL of his efforts, both for our country and for his CPL classmates.
