Canine Partners for Life, a service dog and disabilities organization in Cochranville, PA, is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing and Communications. One of the first accredited service dog organizations in the United States, the CPL campus is situated on 45 acres in Southern Chester County (50 miles west of Philadelphia), and has placed more than 650 service and companion dogs in 45 states since 1989.
The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the Director of Development and serves on a high-performing, energetic, and professional six-person team. The team works collaboratively and cohesively to secure a $1.7 million dollar annual revenue goal and an $8.5 million multi-year capital campaign.
The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s marketing efforts including print media, website management, social media, and press relations. The successful candidate will supervise the Education and Demonstration Coordinator, a full-time outreach position. This is a 40 hour/week position with the possibility for a flexible work schedule and optional benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on proper grammar and spelling. The ability to prioritize work appropriately and adapt easily to changing priorities is a must. Superior interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with various constituencies, including administrative and volunteer leadership, donors, and colleagues, in a diplomatic and motivational fashion are required. Previous nonprofit experience is a plus. Knowledge of or willingness to adeptly learn Raiser’s Edge and other online marketing solutions will be necessary.
