The position of Program Director is a management level position. This employee is responsible for leading a program team of six employees including trainers, a puppy program coordinator, a kennel manager, a graduate support coordinator and a volunteer coordinator. As an active member of the CPL management team, the Program Director represents and communicates the program needs, successes, and challenges to the Board of Directors, Management Team, and staff. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Strengths based leadership skills, team management, and experience within the assistance dog industry are required. In addition, preference will be given to candidates who have experience with dog training (based on positive reinforcement), management of a breeding program, and experience working with individuals who have disabilities.
