Brianna was partnered with the only non-lab in the group, Sheila. As they worked those first few days to build a strong bond, Brianna enjoyed grooming Sheila and making sure she looked her best. For her part, Sheila adores her new partner. She’s glued to Brianna’s side – which is great when it comes to seizure alert work. Sheila started alerting from the very first day of team training. And even though Brianna was frustrated at having to stay on the sidelines at times, she quickly grew to trust Sheila and to listen to what she was telling her when she alerted. A partnership and a friendship formed and Brianna quickly began to feel a bit safer on her own and to relish her newfound independence.
