We hope this message finds you and your loved ones well. As we enter the fall season, CPL staff continues to work on split schedules. Our staff wear masks, observe social distancing, sanitize surfaces and office areas each day, and more. At this time, we plan to work split shifts through the fall but will continue to evaluate and monitor the guidelines issued by Governor Wolf, the CDC, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Chester County Health Department.
We are excited to gradually welcome our volunteers back on campus! Our experienced walking volunteers are beginning on September 1st. Only 1 volunteer will be walking per shift and we have scheduled a half hour between each shift to limit exposure. Our whelping volunteers are also starting back on campus in early September to assist with our upcoming litter of puppies. Weekend Dog Sitters continue to house dogs over the weekend and our transport volunteers have been a huge help transporting puppies from community homes to our prison puppy raising program. At this time, we are not training new volunteers but will keep you updated when that changes.
Our campus is still closed to guests (unless you have a scheduled appointment) as we are doing our best to limit the amount of people on campus to keep exposure as limited as possible.
Please continue to bear with us as we navigate this pandemic. Our first priority is always the safety of the CPL family. We appreciate your continued support!
