Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager

CPL is seeking an organized, self-motivated and energetic individual to join our Development Team. We are looking for a positive team player with demonstrated prior experience with corporate and foundation relations and grant writing.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of nonprofit fundraising experience
  • Evidence of successfully securing grants
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a customer focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Strong computer skills including experience with donor databases

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, submit, and manage proposals to foundations and corporations
  • Conduct prospect research on foundations and corporations to find new funding opportunities
  • Ensure proper stewardship of and reporting on grant funds
  • Conduct outreach and meetings (on- and off-site) on behalf of the organization to pursue funding leads and support the development team in outreach efforts
  • Maintain current donor records, including grant tracking and reporting
  • Lead all special event sponsorship solicitations, ensure sponsor benefits are provided, and production of all sponsorship materials
  • Supervise appropriate positions within the development team
  • Work effectively with the Director of Development and Communications to coordinate foundation and corporate support for a multi-year capital campaign initiative
