Judy and Tia

CPL favicon

Judy came to us frustrated that a neurological disorder had taken so much from her life. On day one of Team Training, her walker was put away and wasn’t seen again. At first Judy was tentative about using Tia to balance on the stairs and insisted on using steps with a rail but, they practiced and soon they were doing steps without rails – and ultimately they climbed the huge flight of open backed stairs to get to the top of Longwood Gardens’ Tree House. Judy says that Tia gives her a reason to keep moving and a way to move safely. She looks forward to exploring nature and relishing a new independence with her partner Tia by her side.
