Kevin is a wonderful young man who described himself at our interview as funny, loud and singing – his parents added that he is compassionate and silly and loves to play ball. Because he had always been an animal lover, Kevin wanted a companion and a good “friend”. In addition, Kevin needed assistance with balance and the retrieval of items that he dropped. Schmoo was chosen to be Kevin’s partner – he’s large and sturdy and is trained to retrieve objects and to assist Kevin from the floor. Kevin keeps Schmoo in shape by taking him for walks using his electric scooter. The whole family loves Schmoo, but his heart clearly belongs to Kevin!
