Dog training takes a lot of persistence and determination and Bob has a lot of that. He has worked hard to build a strong, loving relationship with his new partner Barlo. Bob has been patient, kind, and compassionate and Barlo has responded in kind. A favorite memory of them from Team Training will always be of Barlo sitting with his head on Bob’s lap – and Bob smiling and chatting with him like a good friend.

Independence Society members belong to a distinctive family of generous and compassionate friends of Canine Partners for Life. Members make an annual leadership financial donation of $1,000 or more to support CPL’s general operations during our fiscal year (July 1 — June 30). Many choose to contribute their support via automated online monthly giving.
Members receive special invitations to exclusive member events throughout the year and are also invited to provide ongoing feedback and guidance pertaining to the future of CPL.

If you work for a large corporation, check with your human resources department to find out about its matching-gift policy. CPL is also a member charity of America’s Charities. Thanks to this alliance, CPL participates in workplace giving campaigns with state employees, the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC #10357), and in the private sector. Cow Bingo is a game of chance that pits your luck against the cow “doo”ing her business. If the cow heeds the call of nature on your square, you are the lucky winner of $5,000! Tickets are $10 each, squares are randomly assigned and chances are 1 in 3,000. Winner need not be present to win.
One of the easiest ways to contribute to CPL is with a gift of stock. It is simple and generally offers a number of valuable financial benefits, including the total value of the stock upon transfer is tax-deductible and there is typically no obligation to pay capital gains taxes. CPL recommends you consult with your tax advisor regarding your specific tax situation.
Before facilitating the transfer, please notify us of the name of stock, number of shares, if you prefer to designate the gift to a specific purpose (such as Capital Campaign), and the time frame you expect to complete the transfer.
