Samuel and Amanda
Sam and his parents came to CPL to get a dog that could help him with his motor skills in a fun interactive way. And of course everything is more fun to do when you have a dog right alongside you. Amanda was chosen for Sam because she loves to be with people and enjoys playing ball. After Amanda was placed with Sam, he told his folks, “Now that we have a dog, we are a family”. One night as they were tucking Sam into bed, he said “I feel safe when Amanda is with me because I know she protects me”. What a great feeling for a little boy with anxiety issues to have one less thing to worry about.
